Thanks for the thoughts. I appreciate that. Under normal circumstances, I would agree with you - the Gus situation has been such a major issue that of course it affects my feelings and choices. However, unfortunately, the situation with the Tardy Girl is not something that can be fixed. I don't want to go into details in public, but suffice it to say that it's a very sad but necessary move I had to make.

U should maybe give the Tardy Girl another chance first before others. Since your breakup seemed to be around the same time as the loss of your beloved dog Gus,you could have possibly been distracted to your feelings on her. I suggest you think and weigh your true feelings once your head is clear and can focus. You shouldn't have to be lonely and lose two things at the same time that were important in your life. Dogs definitely hold a special place in my heart and although it doesn't make it any easier, it sure sounds like you both had one heck of a time together with lots of good memories.
