Speaking Italian

so I'm starting to think a bit about my trip to Italy (1/2 work, 1/2 vacation) next month and last night I realized that the only words I know in Italian are curse words. I wonder if someone will give me the opportunity to use them?

(I'm going to Rome for a conference, then a couple of days of sightseeing before I go to Florence to sightsee. It's my first visit to Italy, so I'm excited. Yes, I'll be blogging and taking pix. Planning on getting a brand new digital SLR for the trip - Canon 40D, which, among other things has a 3" LCD instead of the 1" LCD on my Canon 20D.)
