Dead.

I'm sad about this one because of what this poor guy went through. This is the guy at the Atlanta Olympics who saw an abandoned knapsack and started clearing people away before it exploded. And then the government and the press decided that he had planted it so that he could be a hero and basically convicted him on their own. Until it turned out that wasn't true and that he was a real hero that saved many people's lives.

The NY Times had the appropriate title on the story though --> Richard Jewell, 44, Hero of Atlanta Attack Dies
